Georgina Mayhew
Hello, my name is Georgina Mayhew. I was born in England and moved to Florida when I was 10 years old. I earned my Early Childhood and Elementary Education Degrees at Troy University. I’ve been teaching since 1996, seven of those years were in San Diego , California. I’ve worn many hats over the years and gained buckets of knowledge and insight. To name a few accomplishments, I’ve taught every grade from kindergarten through sixth grade, been district math coach , and STEM facilitator . Teaching and the art of pedagogy continue to be two of my biggest passions.
Another passion is my family. I’m married, have two beautiful daughters and a rambunctious golden retriever. I’m lucky to have been able to experience Perkins Elementary as a parent . Both of my girls graduated from Perkins. I enjoy the beach, riding bikes, eating delicious food, listening to music, reading books, and exploring the world around me.
